1793 – married by licence 17th Aug at Warcop. Batchelor of Brough to Agnes Fisher (b.1773 Warcop Westmoreland). Both signed the register. Witnesses John Bowe and William Allinson of Brough. William Allinson was a cordwainer.

1796 – daughter Mary born and baptised 29th May at Brough
1800 – son Thomas born and baptised at Brough
1804 – son William born at Market Brough and baptised 11th Aug at Brough
1815 – Quarter Sessions Records 15th Sep. His widow, Agnes Banting of Brough licensed to keep a common inn and alehouse. Sureties Joseph Fisher £10 (Agnes’s brother)
1841 – His widow Agnes living in Market Brough ‘Independent means’
1849 – His widow Agnes died aged 76 at Brough Sowerby of natural decay. The death was registered by William Banting of Brough Sowerby, present at death and she was buried on 9th March at Church Brough.
