Early Hampshire Bantings

I have been inundated with requests to try and solve the early Banting name brickwalls. The requests have come in from Canada, Australia and the UK. The problem as you might expect, arises in the mid C18th.

• The various Johns and Williams are difficult to separate.

This site seeks to geo-locate data in the hope that patterns start to emerge.

• I have been to the archive in Winchester and gathered some intelligence!
• Nothing too staggering but early marriage dates may get us started
• Each post is separate in order to allow geo-locating but I will produce a Google maps overview.
